Indulgence

First of all, I'd like to apologize for the ugly and blur blur snaps taken at Indulgence Restaurant because I left my camera at home, and thus was taking photos with my hand phone. Well, you have seen how badly taken the photos are, but the food here is superb and delicious, I'd recommend you go for a try when you're in Ipoh.

It's situated along Jalan Raja Dihilir, just before Ipoh Specialist Hospital. It's a white bungalow, on your left if you coming from Ipoh Town roundabout (the one with the fountain).

What I like most about this restaurant, besides the food, is the ambient and atmosphere which make me feel comfortable and at ease when dining. Most importantly, you don't have to dress up formally, like most expensive restaurants required.

After your order is placed, you'll be served with bread and butter as appetizer. You can still order some appetizer though, but today, we tried asparagus and seafood cream soup.

Then, our main dishes were grilled salmon, grilled cod, and Qai (it's chicken). All tasted very well, and much to our liking. If you fancy some pasta, they serve some unusual pasta, and once I tried squid ink spaghetti!!! It's black, but tasted deliciously good. At one look, I didn't feel like having a bite, but the "si tao po" was right, she recommended the spaghetti and it was nice.

But if you're really out of idea what to order, just ask for the day's special. I can be very adventurous at food, so I like to try something new when I'm there. Oh ya, I got to have my cup of latte too everytime I'm dining there. :)

BTW, Indulgence is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays (except this week until New Year Day). It opens from 9.00am to 11.30pm. Yes, they serve breakfast!!! If you'd like to make a reservation, please call +605-2557051 .

(I'm not earning commission from promoting this restaurant :P, but I really like this place, and hope you'll like it too!)

Thank you..thank you for the review. At least now I know what the restaurant looks like and the location.

Adrian & Alvan, yes, you must try it out! They have kids menu too, but that day I didn't bring Justin along, so didn't order the mushroom soup that Justin really likes.

Baby Khong, you're welcome. But it'll be crowded during CNY, so don't come during peak hours ok? If not you might need to wait a bit longer for the food. :)

Are this "Indulgence" the same as the one at Canning Garden? I've been to the one located at Canning for some years ago, but not sure if they have moved out, or it's just two different restaurant?

Anon, it's the same, they moved to this bangalow and it's a nicer place with the same good food.

All about food, shopping, travel and fitness.
